Silence

During a time of sacrifice, when you are trying to leave what is old behind, and enter into the next stage which remains as of yet unknown, you must become empty so that you can receive.
Despite the fact that the time is calling for the next change to become due, for the introduction of the next thing, do not take on anything new. Do not work towards the completion of any goals. Instead enter a state of limbo, sobriety, and silence. Allow what is old to drain away, leaving behind only what is ready to be released forward (after that comes the change).
This is about getting sober from sources of input into your mind such as sounds, images, ideas, or attitudes. This may call for electronics and media sobriety, or altering who you spend time with, changes in diet, going off grid, etc. Seek out places of great stillness and presence and visit these places frequently. You may even decide to take some kind of vow of silence where you do not speak in certain contexts. Play with this idea and modify it in whatever way you need to so that your world goes completely silent. You can go through this process alone or as a group.
Now, there is another side to it which is this: During this time of input sobriety, explore the idea of limits. What is the greatest state of being you could possibly achieve? Where is the limit? Where does it cap off? Explore your wildest, most fantastic dreams for directions your life could go in; ones that excite you the most but do not necessarily have any basis in reality. While entertaining these ideas, completely bypass the how of it. Give zero attention to the aspect of the fantasy that deals with the how it could happen, just focus on the final result (as long as it remains a source of excitement just thinking out it, if the excitement isn’t there then it doesn’t meet the requirement). Again, this can be done alone or with others.
Secondly, in the same way meditate on or explore the concept of indestructibility. Try to cultivate a sense that no matter what happens to you, no matter what lines are crossed, your consciousness will continue to go on.
