This exercise is very simple. Write down
a list of things that define you. Include on the list common daily and weekly
routines; things you do on a regular basis. Once you have this list, write down
a complete polar opposite counterpart to every item on the list. Keep in mind
that these polar opposites do not inherently imply negativity.
Choose a day to be the opposite of you. Go
do things that are radical deviations from your normal self. Most things on the
extreme polar opposite end are there because there is some negative connotation
attached (however valid or invalid). Try to experience things you normal label
as negative from a perspective of non-judgment. If possible try to experience
them in a positive way. These opposite days serve to inject pulses of variation
in regular rhythm, breaking it up and making it more pliable.
