treasure hunts

Treasure hunts can be used as pathways to an experience or state of being. With each step/stage, each riddle, something of value is found/revealed that is the result of what came before and also suggests a way to the next thing, but is in and of itself  contained.
When attempting to complete a task, understand how each stage is in and of itself a complete thing that can and should be revisited. This can be practiced through the game of treasure hunts, where each riddle not only leads to the next thing, but creates a memorable experience that can be revisited to reveal even more meaning once new layers of context are introduced from the riddles that precede and follow it.
These games can be modeled on narrative structure which revolves around a central theme and sees a subject undergo a series changes as a result of choices made in response to a threat or consequence.
Each riddle in the treasure hunt requires participants to engage in some kind of creative choice making that explores a given theme such as:

Dreams
Curiosity
Appreciation
Creativity
